Africa Safari Maasai Boma is a unique accommodation. Not only because of its ideal location, with Kenya’s Maasai Mara and situated between Lake Natron to the east, Serengeti National Park to the west and the Ngorongoro to its south, but also due to its design.
As the accommodation’s name suggests, it is inspired by a traditional Maasai boma. Look around you and you’ll understand why; you’re in their midst. The circular earth houses with thatched roofs are simple, solid, basic yet comfortable. A spacious bedroom, decorated with traditional Maasai blankets and beadwork, furnished with a kingsize and a single bed, and a bathroom ensuite equipped with a European standard toilet and shower facilities.
The village is called Ololosokwan and although not located in an official game reserve or national park, even here you will find game now and then. Wildlife does not know boundaries!
If you are looking for a Safari lodge in Tanzania, you’ve found the right place.

Africa Safari Maasai Boma
Ideally located between Africa Safari Lake Natron (5hrs to the east) and Africa Safari Ikoma (4hrs to the west), Africa Safari Maasai Boma is located only 20 minutes away from Serengeti National Park Klein’s gate.
At nighttime, when you sit around the campfire, the Maasai storyteller will entertain you with all the legends and tales that live amongst the Maasai for hundreds of years.
Africa Safari Maasai Boma is located just outside the National Park, and the only additional fee applicable is a Village fee, to support the local community. Ololosokwan’s Village Council has allocated much of its revenue toward education, especially building classrooms, employing teachers and sponsoring children to attend secondary school and university. The Village Council has also used some of its revenue to build a village dispensary, develop several water projects and reinvest in conservation to ensure wildlife populations thrive on Ololosokwan land. This fee is paid through the accommodation.
For visits to the Serengeti National Park, TANAPA entry fees apply. These apply to both persons and vehicles. Agents are to pay these fees electronically online, while for private visitors, Africa Safari Maasai Boma can assist.
