Africa Safari Karatu is a luxury safari lodge located on the edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The area became popular with early settlers and farmers because of its cool climate, green hills, and beautiful views, with coffee being one of the most important crops. The rolling slopes of the extinct Ol Deani volcano are a striking feature of the landscape. The accommodation is located on top of a hill and offers a stunning view of the Northern Highlands, Lake Eyasi, and its surroundings.
Due to the ideal location, Lake Manyara National Park and the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater are easily accessible from Africa Safari Karatu. Africa Safari Karatu is a lovely place to stay near Manyara. Staff members are very attentive and kindly, the place is very well arranged and maintained. The rooms are beautiful and clean. And view from their balcony is absolutely wonderful!

We had a really nice stay! The staff was really friendly and they prepared vegetarian lunch boxes for us! I had the chance to go swimming early in the morning in the pool with a stunning view! We had a really nice time!

Best place to begin or close your safari!
We had a lovely stay in this resort! The view was amazing! It was the last night of our safari and it was the best! It was our 6th anniversary and they made a lovely cake for us and sang with the whole team for us! Our waiter Joseph was so kind and did everything for us. We are coming back, that is for sure!

The wooden floors and elegant finishes of the Luxury Accommodation create an atmosphere of refined comfort with a touch of rustic charm. These rooms, located on the ground and first floors, are furnished with a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Each features an indoor seating area and a furnished private balcony offering panoramic views of Lake Eyasi and the Ngorongoro Highlands, for which Africa Safari Karatu is renowned. The ensuite bathroom includes a washbasin, bathtub, shower, and toilet. Comfort Classic & Comfort Modern Accommodation
Due to the raw brick walls, the single-level Comfort Classic Accommodation exhibits a distinctive appearance and rustic charm. Each room is furnished with a king-size bed and a single bed. The Classic Modern Accommodation are located in a three storey building and feature a smooth natural finish and offer a king-size bed and a sofa bed making them suitable for couples, friends, or families.
The ensuite bathroom comes equipped with a shower, toilet, and washbasin, while the seating area invites you to relax after a day of adventure. Step outside onto your private balcony to enjoy sweeping 180-degree views — Lake Eyasi stretching to the left and the Ngorongoro Highlands rising to the right. Twelve Comfort Modern units can interconnect to accommodate families and larger groups travelling together.

The restaurant serves local and international buffet style meals prepared with the freshest of local produce.
